Booking Terms and Conditions

  1. Booking and payment

    Please ensure the dates you require are available prior to sending us your Booking Form/ payment. The dates can be held provisionally for 3 days until we have received your deposit.

    Deposit
    Bookings made more than 8 weeks before arrival require deposit payment of 25% of the total cost.

    Final payment
    Once the booking is accepted, the balance of the cost is payable 8 weeks before the start of the holiday.
    Bookings made less than 8 weeks before arrival require payment in full.

    Confirmation
    The holiday is confirmed when the Hirer is sent written notice (dispatched on receipt of deposit).

  2. Cancellation policy

    Cancellation prior to 8 weeks before holiday start date:
    If full monies were paid at the time of booking, the Owners will reimburse the Hirer, less the deposit. This deposit can be used to make an alternative booking at Bousdale Old Stables at the time of cancellation (subject to availability). Any subsequent cancellation will result in deposit being forfeited.

    Cancellation within 8 weeks of your holiday start date:
    The Owners will attempt to re-let the accommodation on behalf of the Hirer (written request required). If successful, we will refund any monies paid by the New Hirer, less the deposit paid by the Hirer cancelling (please note the New Hirer may not pay full price, especially for a late booking). If re-letting is unsuccessful all monies paid will be forfeited.

  3. Arrival and departure

    Normally a booking is from Saturday to Saturday although short breaks are available throughout the year. The accommodation is available from 3pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated with keys returned by 10am on the day of departure.

  4. Occupancy

    The number of persons and pets occupying the cottage must not exceed that stated on the Booking Form.

  5. Pets

    A maximum of 2 well-behaved, fully house-trained dogs are welcome but are not allowed upstairs, on the furniture, or left unattended in the cottage. In the vicinity of the farm, dogs should be kept under close control. Please use the poop scoop and bin provided to remove dog foul from the grounds. There should be no evidence that a pet has been present in the house or garden at the time of departure.

  6. Access

    The Owners reserve the right to have access to the cottage at all reasonable times, with prior notice given whenever possible.

  7. Damage/ breakage policy

    Please report any damage/ breakages prior to departure to enable replacement/ repair prior to the arrival of the next guests. The Owners reserve the right to charge for any non-trivial damage howsoever caused.

  8. Liability

    The Owners cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to Hirers' property, or for personal injury, or damage to cars, bikes, horse tack, etc left at the Hirers’ own risk.

  9. The Owners reserve the right to ask you leave before the end of your holiday if the Booking Terms and Conditions are flouted. In this instance, the holiday will be treated as cancelled by the Hirer and no refunds will be given. Any unauthorised persons will be requested to leave the premises.

  10. The Owners endeavour to maintain high standards of comfort and cleanliness at all times. The Hirer must undertake to keep all furniture, fittings and effects in the same good condition as they were found.
