Accommodation and facilities

The cottage sleeps up to six people and has three bedrooms (one twin room and two doubles, one with en-suite). It offers premium accommodation with solid oak flooring and doors throughout.

Bousdale Old Stables is fully self-contained and well equipped with radio/CD/tape player, widescreen TV (Freeview digital channels), video/DVD player and games cupboard. A large wood-burning stove provides an appealing focal point in the living room. The cottage also has central heating and a plentiful supply of hot water provided by an external eco-friendly Biomass boiler (no maintenance required by guests). All fuel, power, bed linen and towels (weekly change) are included in the rent. A telephone is available for emergency and incoming calls.

The cottage has full laundry amenities with space to store and dry outdoor clothing. Mountain bikes can be stored in a secure lock-up adjacent to the cottage, and bike wash facilities are available on request.

A cot (without bedding), highchair, stairgates and fireguard are available in the cottage free of charge.

Ground Floor

Large entrance hall with under stairs cupboard, cloakroom with WC and basin. Lounge with woodburning stove, large suite, desk and piano. Kitchen with dining area: Fridge/freezer, microwave, slimline dishwasher, coffee maker, Range style electric double oven with 8 burner gas hob. Laundry room with washer/dryer, initial supply of washing powder, ironing board, iron, pegs, clothes airer, and cleaning equipment.

Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, tea towels, dish cloths, washing up brush, kitchen roll and refuse bags are supplied. Toilet roll and soap are provided in each bathroom/WC.

First Floor

Bedroom (1) with king size bed, and en-suite bathroom with power shower over bath, WC, basin, mirror, shaver point, and heated towel rail. Bedroom (2) is very spacious with a double bed. Twin bedroom (3) has two single beds. Each bedroom is traditionally furnished, and each has its own hairdryer. The comfortable beds are adorned with crisp white sheets, duvets and throws/quilts to match the colour scheme of the room. Main bathroom with power shower over bath, WC, basin, mirror and shaver point, and heated towel rail.

Externally

Private parking for 3 cars on gravelled courtyard outside cottage. There is a grassed area to the front of the cottage with garden furniture and BBQ during Spring and Summer seasons (otherwise by request).

Location

The cottage occupies an elevated position in a rural setting approximately ½ mile from the main road. Access is via a concrete forest track, steep and uneven in places.
